At the end of 2019 I began working on a specific set of stencils for a new series entitled Indigo. Combining symmetrical fern-like forms in a cohesive rich blue palate the first images that appeared on the paper were layered and dynamic. The punctuated negative space around the shapes is balanced with the harmony of repeting design. Each piece ran through the press at least twice and were detailed with paint and wax crayon once the blue ink dried.
Fourteen in this series are mounted on 1" cradled panels and are in the annual Take Aways: Art to Go show at the Pajaro Valley Arts Council through Sunday March 8, 2020.
High resolution, reproduction quality scans of approximately 300 meg each are available for licensing.
