While working on the Honesty series I've been combining a number of printing techniques including chine colle which translates to 'tissue collage'. You can see in the first two images that I have measured and cut out two pieces of thin colored paper which will be adhered to the print. First the drypoint plate is inked up with a graphite colored ink then a thin layer of orange ink is rolled over the plate and selectively removed. Just before the plate is run through the press the two pieces of chine colle paper are dusted with dry paste and placed on the plate. When the print is pulled the pasted paper is adhered to the print and the inked line is transferred to the image.
