While working on the Flora series I was inspired to print larger images so Abundance was born. These colorful monoprints are pulled on Rives BFK 22" x 30", 22" x 36" and 18" x 24" paper as bleed prints meaning the ink travels over the edge of the paper.
You can guess that this series is a lot of fun. Using large floral shapes that I hand-cut out of stencil board patterns emerge as the techniques of monotype, masking, off-set and ghost printing are applied. Surprising color combinations are created as the ink, some with a transparency additive, are layered atop eachother.
