You can guess that this series is a lot of fun. Using large floral shapes that I hand-cut out of stencil board patterns emerge as the techniques of monotype, masking, off-set and ghost printing are applied. Surprising pattern combinations are created as the ink, some with a transparency additive, are layered atop each other. The title of the series comes from the silver ink that is used in the process offering a shimmer to the overall piece. For a number of the Argent images I added India ink, graphite and paint once the ink had dried to increase detail - the monoprints turned into mixed media pieces.
